11th Annual General Meeting of WiLAT Sri Lanka

The 11 th Annual General Meeting of WiLAT Sri Lanka to appoint the new Chairperson and the Council members for the term 2024/25, was held on 14th May 2024 at Lavender Hall, BMICH, Colombo 07. Prof. Renuka Herath, Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology was unanimously appointed once again to lead WiLAT team for the year 2024/25 supported by Ms. Prashani Liyanage, Assistant General Manager, Aitken Spence Logistics in the capacity of the Secretary and Ms. Vijitha Weerasinghe, Retired Director (Planning) at National Transport Commission as the incoming Treasurer for the year 2024/25. Professor Renuka Herath would be supported by the three Vice Chairpersons (VCs), Ms. Aranthi Fernando, Head of Manufacturing, Fonterra Brands Sri Lanka as the VC Membership Development, Ms. Rumal Fernando, Head of Customer Service and Logistics, Unilever Sri Lanka Limited as the VC Branding and Sponsorships and Ms. Kumari Sumanasekara, General Manager Supply Chain and Logistics, Schneider Electric Lanka Pvt Ltd as the VC Membership Services. The newly appointed Ex-Co consists of 12 dynamic professionals from Logistics and Supply Chain industry and of leading organizations in Sri Lanka to take annual agenda of WiLAT forward. This occasion was graced by Chairperson of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Sri Lanka, Mr. Chandima Hulangamuwa, members of WILAT SL Exco and CILT Sri Lanka Council, industry eminent personalities and CILT/ WiLAT SL broader membership.
