Awareness Session on Sustainable Waste Management at Cleantech (Pvt) Ltd

Branding & Sponsorships pillar of WiLAT SL organized a site visit and and awareness session on sustainable waste management including e-waste management and plastic recycling at the Circular Economy Service Centre of Cleantech (Pvt) Ltd, Wattala on 27th July 2024. This event was organized to showcase the interest and commitment of WiLAT towards environmental sustainability. The main objectives of the event were to create awareness on importance of environmental sustainability and to understand our responsibility as stakeholders in the Logistics and Transport Industry. Cleantech (Pvt) Ltd which is a member Company of Abans Group briefed the participants on responsible waste management and how it contributes towards a circular economy while explaining how the corporate sector can initiate proper waste collection through reverse logistics and explained how they can partner for such initiatives. The event was facilitated by Mr. Rukitha Nanayakkara – CEO, Mr. Kasun Thennakoon – Head of Operations, Ms. Kasunika Katukithula – Asst. Manager, Sales and Business Development, Mr. Thuffail Thasthakeer and Mr. Keith Moore – Operations Manager of DOK Solutions Lanka (Pvt) Ltd. Ms. Aranthi Fernando – VC Branding & Sponsorship, Ms. Prashani Liyanage – Secretary, Ms. Prabodhanie Wanigasundara, Ms. Sahana Vidanagama, Ms. Aindrinee Ranmuthugala, Ms. Nadika Kongalage, Ms. Sachi Nimesha, Ms. Jashani Hiruminee represented WiLAT at the event while it was participated by over 30 CILT & WiLAT members including students.
