Membership Drive at Hambantota International Port Group (HIPG)

Yet another successful CILT membership drive organized by WiLAT was successfully concluded on 4th August 2023 at the Hambantota International Port Group (HIPG). A team of 12 WiLAT ExCo members comprising of Chairperson, Prof. Renuka Herath, Ms. Niroza Gazzali - Immediate Past Chairperson, Ms. Prashani Liyanage – Secretary, Ms. Aranthi Fernando - VC Membership Development and Ms. Vijitha Weerasinghe – Treasurer participated at the event.

The HIPG staff extended a warm welcome to the WiLAT members and delivered an insightful presentation, shedding light on HIPG as an organization and dispelling misconceptions within society about its operations. The team, comprising Jeevan Premasara, Senior GM HR and Administration, Captain Miyuru Gunasekara, General Manager - HIPS, Bindu Ranasinghe, Deputy General Manager - Commercial and Marketing, and Buddhika Sandaruwan, Assistant General Manager - HR, Local Affairs, and CSR, shared their expertise, offering an in-depth understanding of various aspects of the port's operations.
