WiLAT Australia hosts Supply Chain Climate Change Solutions Summit and Expo

People in industry learn from successful deployments, not white papers. On Thursday 13 June 2019 Women in Logistics and Transport (WiLAT) along with Women In Supply Chain (WISC) Australia held a Supply Chain Climate Change Solutions Summit and Expo in Melbourne sponsored by Bestrane. Speakers at the summit included Carly Cummings from Coca-Cola Amatil, Ryan Foenander from Toll, Dr Elise Hooi from RMIT, Dr Amir Hashemi from Orora, Peter Shelley and Steve Hansen from Australia Post and Vickas Ahuja from Coles Limited. All speakers gave brilliant accounts of successful climate change solutions that they have instilled into their current work practices. These successes vary from renewable energy sources for buildings, plant and equipment to socially responsible disposal processes to instilling ethical and sustainable practices into their overall supply chains.

With over 150 people in attendance there were plenty of networking opportunities. The expo gave opportunities to speak to experts from Sea Electric, Total Solar Solutions, Bestrane, GeoTab, Kings Transport, MobileDock, Dematic.
