WiLAT Sri Lanka Progresses on the pledge made on World Environmental Day 2021

WiLAT Sri Lanka took the first step on 07th August 2021 towards the pledge of planting 1000 trees that was made on the #WorldEnvironmentDay2021.

The team planted 225 saplings of Mee and Kumbuk along the Circular Road adjacent to Hambanthota new hospital premises off Makumbura. Exco member Shakkya Perera represented the WiLAT SL community along with Achala Arunalu from Reforest Sri Lanka community.

WiLAT Sri Lanka will be carrying out a year round campaign to meet the pledge and also go beyond just 1000 trees.
